Established in 2009, Future Makers Awards and Supports Programme is a Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) initiative which recognises talent, potential and creativity, providing practical support and professional encouragement and investing in the next generation of talent at a crucial early stage in their career.
Future Makers is one of Europe’s largest prize-funded design and craft award programmes and is also the qualifying competition for the annual RDS Craft Awards. It includes support for exhibitions, studios, materials, travel and training, residencies, and professional development.
Divided into student and emerging practitioner categories and covering a wide range of disciplines, the Future Makers programme recognises and rewards vision, innovation and excellence in both making and the creative process among students and recent graduates.
