(Waste) Fibre Flows Laboratory: Meet the Artist

Colette Lewis is a visual artist whose practice engages with knowledge exchange at the intersection of social and ecological contexts in urban and rural places. Colette’s talk will focus on her KinShip Artist Placement research looking at waste as resource and the (Waste) Fibre Flows Laboratory.

The WFF laboratory was set up during her placement as a collaborative and experimental space to process materials and ideas for new ways of thinking about our complicated and entangled relationship with waste.

The first laboratory event takes place during the KinShip Winter Weekend in collaboration with textile artists Helen O Shea and Caroline Smith, and urban theorist Roy Wroth, focusing on textile waste as a case study sourced from the Civic Amenity Site and Recycling Centre.

Places Limited. Booking Required.
